Yesterday I posted my review of the Galaxy S6 from Samsung, I stated how I'm on the fence about switching and then that's when I came to realize that I can't. The reason that I can't is my OCD and the already scratched display after a week of use will drive me insane.
Apple doesn't have this problem and this is why Apple has the greatest leg up on it's competitors. If I scratch my phone, I can take it to the Genius Bar and swap it out. If something malfunctions, I can take it to the Genius Bar. If I run it over with my car, I can take it to the Genius Bar. Anything you can possibly do, if you find the right reason, you can swap your device out at the Genius Bar.
This is Apple's trump card.
No other company has this available to the consumer -- you can't take your Samsung device, walk into a Samsung store and have it replaced. You're stuck with base warranty claims for any malfunctions where the device needs to be sent off, or you need to deal with insurance claims for any real damage.
Apple having stores in all major cities and the ability to replace same day, within 30 minutes at an Apple Store, you can't compete with.
I take great care of my devices but there are always accidents and uncontrollable issues that may arise. I prefer having the safety net of being able to have Apple at my disposal over having something that may have a couple edges up but less supported.
Apple has me by the balls and I'm okay with that.
